Matte lipsticks are totally in these days. Many beauty bloggers
rave about these matte lippies. So as I promise, I am going to share some
affordable matte lipsticks in my few posts. Today in my very first post I am
reviewing one of the most affordable and good matte lipstick, i.e Elle18 Color Pops

My Review on Elle18 Color Pops Matte lipstick Mauve Date:
Packaging: It has the common Elle18 packaging; comes in a cute black
plastic case with a graphic printing of a girl on the cap. Packaging is cute
and travel friendly. But the bullet case is not that sturdy.

Shades: As the name
suggest, it is deep purple with a hint of brown in it. The brown makes it
more wearable. It does not have shimmer in it. I can wear it in my office and
in any night out or dinner date as well.

Texture: The texture
is not super matte finish; rather I found it soft and creamy matte. Bullet is easily glided on lips, no need to
pull off very much. The formula is non-drying and hydrating to the lips. No
need to apply lip balm underneath. It does not settle down to fine line or
accentuated dry patches of the lips.

Smell: It has mild smells, exactly like the other Elle18
lipsticks nothing fancy.

Pigmentation: Pigmentation is quite decent. The exact color
comes with only two swipes. It coves my pigmented lips very well. But it is not
totally transfer proof, it does bleed.

It stays on my lips for good 3-4 hrs, after
that leaves behind a beautiful stain which I liked very much.

My Final verdict: According to the price, I do not complain
more. I liked the quality very much. It has good range of shades from Red to
Pink to Purple to Brown. Over all I liked the color and texture, so I would
definitely suggest you to give it a try. I am sure that you would definitely
enjoy the range.
