Revlon color stay shadow link in Peacock: Review, Swatch and LODT

Hello everyone,
Hope you all had a great Saturday. I was searching a fancy peacock blue eye shadow for quite
long and it was stopped at the Revlon counter last week. It was their single
linked eye shadow and that eye catchy blue shade took all my love at first
sight of it. The Shade is also named “peacock” which couldn’t stop to me buy
that shadow for my own. So today I’m here with the review of Revlon color stay shadow
link in Peacock.

Packaging: The eye shadow comes in a very simple and cute
square plastic container with see through lid. The brand name printed on the
lid and all the details printed at the back. This container was designed such a
way that one can attach the other Revlon shadow links to make her own
customized pallete. Lid shuts with click sound which makes it comfortable to
carry.

Shade: As the name suggest it’s a green based blue with
finely milled silver shimmers.

Pigmentation: well pigmented and the shade is quite
build-able. You can easily control the intensity of the color. You have to prime
and apply base coat to the eye lid for showing up actual color.

Texture and formula: it is smooth and creamy in texture. The
shimmer doesn’t look chunky at all rather than subtle and finely milled.  Formula is little bit powdery but hasn’t fall
out.

Staying power: Downside of this eye shadow is the staying power;
it hardly stays on for 3 hours and then starts fading away. So makeup fixing
spray is must for it. The pigment is easily removed by plain water.

Pros:

  • Excellent shade.
  • Cute travel friendly packaging.
  • Affordable.
  • Decently pigmented.
  • Smooth and creamy texture.
  • Buildable formula.
  • Doesn’t make you look like torch ball.

Cons:

  • Hardly stays.
  • Has some fall out
  • could be made more pigmented.

Rating: 4/5.

Final verdict: I was searching such shade to do a peacock
blue eye and mermaid eye look. I gave it a go because it is quite affordable
and look cute. You don’t have to buy a whole pallete for just one or two shades
and customize your own eye shadow palate by linking up the other shades. I
would recommend it to anyone who wants an affordable green-y blue hue to get dolled
up.

that’s all for today,
love,
Papri.
