days are in Vogue. And I have absence of color eyeliners in my vanity except
three universally flattering shades which are black, brown and blue. So as soon as I have
heard that my favorite brand Maybelline has launched Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencils, I
was set my mind to get few by myself. Everyone in this beauty blogosphere
is going gaga over them. So I thought why not give them a try and ordered two
from Nykaa. The shades I have got was Smooth Charcoal and Soft Nude. So I shall be
sharing my experience with the product today.

Packaging: Liners comes in paper and plastic packaging which carries
all the relevant information like ingredients, price etc. You have to tear off
the outer packaging. The liner comes in color coded body with clear plastic
cap. Cap closes tightly enough which ensure product’s safety while travelling
with it. The brand and product name is printed on the liner itself.

My Views
Smooth Charcoal is a
stunning gray shade with matte finish. I use it to create soft smokey
eyes look. Just apply and smudge it with ring finger and I’m ready to go.

Soft Nude is a very bright flesh toned color. I use it in my lower waterline, it instantly
open up my eyes and make them appear bigger and brighter.

These are insanely pigmented. Just one swipe with light hand
and you will get the most opaque finish. These are very light-weight and
creamy. They glide just like butter. No tugging or pulling required. Texture is exactly like gel based liner, soft
and smooth, that glide evenly on waterline in just one go. The formula doesn’t
dry quickly, so you have the time to smudge it further. But once it set it
doesn’t move, smudge or crease. These give flawless silky and velvety finish
look. They have minute shimmers which are almost negligible but impart a satiny
finish.

They stay on for good 8-9 hours. Though the brand claim that
they will last for 16 hours, but I never keep the liner that long, so can’t
comment on that. These are smudge-proof and water proof so they might stay so
long. So these can only be removed with a good oil based makeup remover.

The only thing I dislike that these are sharpen able eye liners
and Maybelline doesn’t provide any kind of sharpener along with these. So you
have to make a good search for their best match and I personally don’t like
those eyeliners which come with such costly price tag and lead product wastage.

Final verdicts: Overall, these eye liners are creamiest,
smoothest and long stay colored liners for me by far. This range has 6 more
