Hello Everyone,
Today post is much requested post I feel. I was received quite
a few request from my followers to share how I conceal and contour my face. They
requested me to share a video tutorial on that, but I can say that I’m good at picture tutorials, so today I’m going to share step by step pictures tutorial on
how I conceal and contour my face. But before stating, I want to say that I’m
not a pro or a certified MUA. I’m self-taught. So I have done it in my way
completely. If some where I may have done it wrongly, then any suggestions from you are
always welcome. Let’s start.

Why contour is so needed?

Contour is a makeup technique that use to enhanced your facial structure and makes your face look more define and sculpted.

Contouring is usually produced by placing a warm or cool toned color that is one or two shades darker than the skin color in areas such as in the hollows of the cheeks, on the side of the nose, and on the temples to give a shadow and slimming effect. It can be complemented with a highlighter that is one or two shades lighter than the skin color on areas of the face that is more prominent such as on the apples on the cheeks and the tip of the nose or the t-zone.

Step By Step Conceal and Contour

Step1

Apply orange corrector on under eye area, side of nose and around
the mouth. In short, where you see any pigmentation or uneven skin tone on your
face. Blend it nicely.

Step 2

Apply your favorite concealer where you apply the orange
corrector. I would suggest you to apply the concealer in triangle shaped on the
under eye area, this will make your face appear more symmetric and highlighted . Don’t forget
to apply on the forehead, bridge of nose and chin. This will give an illusion
of 3D in pictures. Blend it nicely with a wet beauty sponge.

Step 3

Now apply your favorite foundation and blend. then apply a cream contour under the cheek bones, jaw line, side
of nose and temple area of your face. Blend it nicely.

Step 4

now apply that concealer under your contour to define it
more. Blend.

Step 5

Now set the concealer with loose powder or banana powder or
a yellow tone powder. Leave it 5-7 minute to make those area more highlighted.
This process is called Baking.

Step 6

Then set your cream contour with gray toned or cool toned brown contour powder. that will create a shadow effect to your face, so that your face would look more slim and sculpted.

This technique will give you a perfect light and shadow effect and your face will appear more defined, up lifted and well structured.
