To be honest, Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is that one product for which I was waiting so eagerly for long. I have heard that this concealer is one of their best selling and most raved product. And as soon as I got my hand on this, I can understand, why people going gaga over this concealer. Even since then I found myself wearing this concealer every day, literally every day ever. Packaging: Interesting, compact and easy to use. The concealer comes in a transparent cylindrical bottle. It has a cushion like sponge applicator attached at the top. When you twist the collar of the bottle, the product will ooze out. And now you can roll the sponge on the area to get the application done. The applicator sponge is secure under a small plastic cap. The other related information is printed on the outer packing and the on the bottle as well.
Shade:
This concealer launched in 5 shades in India. I picked up the shade medium for my light wheatish complexion which is like the match made in heaven.
My View
Now talking about the best part, the texture, which is creamy and thick, neither too much thick or mousse-like. The texture is just ideal for a concealer which blends flawlessly like a dream. It feels light as air on the skin and sets down to a matte finish. An absolute win-win product!
It gives medium to full coverage. The opacity is quite buildable. The formula is great for under eye area, as it doesn’t crease or fade over time, though it will look tad bit greasy after 6-7 hours, that can be fixed with a swirl of compact powder.
It covers light under eye dark circle and light acne spot beautifully. But if you have heavy dark circles, redness and dark spots, then I would suggest you use the color corrector first, then apply this concealer over it. Use orange corrector for dark circle and sports and green corrector to cover redness. Basically, it is a brightening concealer. I really like using it over my foundation to under eye and high points of my face which gives me a highlighted and fresh looking face.
It stays forever, for almost 7 hours. I did not keep the concealer more than that. If you set it with loose powder or setting spray, then I think it will stay in place for more than 10 hours or so and also won’t crease.
