Sugar Contour De Force Face Palette in 01 Subtle Summit Review

Hello Everyone,

Contour is the magical thing that can give you chiseled face, Sharp jawline and high cheekbones. No no, I’m not talking about any new cosmetic surgery. Contour is a makeup technique that will give you the illusion of having perfectly defined face, slimmer chin and nose in a jiffy, just by giving your face to some lift and dimension. Using a full coverage foundation makes your face look flat and dimensionless. By doing contouring you can bring back the color and dimension to your face and also make your face look more uplifted and chiseled. I will definitely talk on how you can you do it, but before that, choosing the right contour palette is a task. To be honest I love doing contouring on an everyday basis to my work.  And for that, I only adore my Sugar Contour De Fore Palette in Subtle Summit.

Shade:

Bronzer in Taupe Topper– A cool toned brown shade with flat matte finish. Being a cool-toned, the shade is perfect for contouring as it can give the illusion of shadow.

Highlighter in Champagne Champion-  It is a very pretty champagne color with golden reflects.

Blush in Peach Peak- It an outstanding peachy pink flush for your cheeks.

My View

Bronzer and blusher both have a matte finish and the texture are smooth and silky.  The highlighter has a velvety texture and the shimmers are finely milled. All the three products of this palette have silky soft texture and blend effortlessly like a dream. The shimmer doesn’t move rest of the face. The colors go sheer when applied once but the consistency is quite buildable if you layered the products 2-3 times. The blush blends into the skin seamlessly and gives a natural flush of color. They don’t have any smell which is a plus point for me. Though the formula of blush and bronzer is matte, they do not look patchy or chalky over time.

Three shades are insanely pigmented. Just a swirl of blush or a swipe of your fingertips can get the maximum product from the pan.

Now coming down to the staying power, the colors stay on my face about 6-7 hours, after that it wears off evenly.

Now I am going to talk about how you can use this palette-

As we may know that, contouring and strobing is that magical thing that instantly uplifts your features. It will give you the sharp chisel face with high cheekbones that you’re dreaming about. So let me tell you guys that how can you achieve that look by using this palette.

After doing your base makeup, you need to apply the bronzer under your cheekbone to sculpt, on the temple and side of the forehead to define. You can apply this bronzer to the side of your nose with a small brush to contour and define it. After that just swirl a big fluffy blush brush over the blush pan and apply on the apples of your cheeks and blend towards the hairline. Now with a fan blush or just the tip of your finger, pick up a little of that highlighter and apply on your cheekbones, tip of the nose, nose bridge and inner corner of your eyes. Voila! you are done.

  1. I agree the pigmentation could have been a little better nevertheless for a novice in makeup like me it always better to go for subtler shades.
