I’m back with yet another review of Wet n Wild product. This time I will be sharing my thoughts on their cult favourite Ombre blush. When Wet and Wild launched in Nykaa, few of their cult products got sold like hot cake and these sold out on second or third day. So I had to wait until Nykaa restocks them up. And finally I got my hand on this beauty. If you are someone who applies blush on regular basis then I am sure that you are going to love it. So let’s see if this blush could actually impress me or not!
Like other wet n wild products, the packaging is really compact and sturdy. The blush comes in a square shaped pan case which have a see through lid. This really helps you to spot your desired shade from the stack. Brand name and shade name is mention on the lid and the other details is at the back. The lid closes with a click sound which make sure that you can travel with blush comfortably.
The shade Princess Daiquiries is a lovely peachy pink ombre blush. It has pale pink shade on the top and goes deeper peachy pink as you reach the bottom of the pan. The shade is bit on the pastel side and would look beautiful on fair to light medium skin.
Now coming to the texture and formula, it has silky smooth texture but feels powdery at the same time. I’m not at all impressed by it’s formula. The blush has very pastel, soft feel. The color is barely pigmented . It doesn’t show at all. It goes chalky when you layer the product up. It goes powdery with lots of fallout at the time of application.
It seems tad bit shimmery on the pan, but when applies on the skin it appears fully matte.
The shade barely showed on my medium complexion. I’m sure it will take hours to show up on deeper skin tones. It has poor staying power. The shade stays on me for around 2-3 hours, after that it vanishes off completely.
Overall, This blush doesn’t meet my expectations. It looks very pretty on the pan but doesn’t deliver the quality result.
My Rating: 2/5.
Final Verdict: It is definitely a miss for me. Poor pigmentation, powdery texture and poor staying power are surely turn off. If you are looking for affordable blush for daily wear then I would suggest you to go for maybelline cheeky glow blushes and if you are fascinated with ombre effects then I would recommend you to give a try the Nyx ombre blush.
