Today I will be reviewing a cult favorite shade from the
brand Revlon, yes this is their Colorburst Matte lip balm in Sultry. The shade “Sultry”
is the talk of the town. I heard a lot about this shade when I entered this
beauty blogosphere. So I could not repel myself to lay my hand on
it. Though I have picked this shade quite a while now, I wonder why I didn’t
review it till now. So today I thought of sharing my experience on Revlon
Sultry with my readers.

Packaging: Lipstick comes in retractable crayon form- color
coded body with a tight cap. Nothing is
mention on the body except the brand name. You can find the shade name at the
bottom. Overall the packaging is matte, chic and sexy.

Shade: Sultry is the most raved shade from Revlon Colorburst
range and why not! It is an outstanding warm tone plumy brown pink shade. I
find it the most flattering shade for all of the Indian skin tone.

My view
Gorgeously pigmented, fully opaque in two swipes. It covers
every bits of pigmentation on my lips. It can be layered up more which doesn’t
look caky or heavy at all.

Texture is soft and creamy. It glides like butter and spread
evenly on the lips. Formula is light weight and completely matte, rather say
comfortable matte. So it doesn’t not sit down to lip lines or highlight dry
patches of lips. The most interesting thing I find is that it smells like faint peppermint. So once you swipe it over the lips, you get a soft
tingling sensation which lingers for a minute or so. I feel that this tingle
instantly plumps up the lips making them pout perfect. However the formula is
creamy, but I would suggest you to scrub your lips before for more polished
finish.

It has pretty good staying power, lasts on me through 5+
hours with snacks and drinks in between. After that it fades evenly without
leaving any stain on the lips. So you have to carry it and reapply accordingly.

The only con I find is that it’s price and it hurts.

Final verdict: I think this the most flattering pinky brown
shade which can be worn on daily basis as well as on occasions. You can pair it
up with you all outfits. So if someone ask me to suggest only one lipstick , I would
go for Revlon Sultry- soft, creamy texture, comfortable matte and striking
shade. Highly recommend this lipstick to all.
