Let’s start this New Year with a good lifework. Today’s post is all about unleashing the true potential inside out. So if you are someone who has just completed the 12th or 10th board examination and looking for a good career council, then this post is only for you.
As a responsible blogger and social media influencer, I firmly believe that the career council is very much important in making bright and successful future. Not only that, it helps in taking decision to set up the right career goal.
I was cordially invited as a guest blogger at the mega career and counseling event “Unleash” hosted by UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies) at our very own Park Hotel, Kolkata. It was truly an immense honor to be a part of such an encouraging event.
After successful counseling over 1500 aspiring students all over India (Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Patna) UPES has finally come to my city of joy – Kolkata to organize a mega event “Unleash” for the first time.
Well, the event kick-started by a little introduction about “Unleash” by Chief Commercial Office, UPES, Mr. Subharansghu Neogi. He claimed that event like unleash was meant for inspiring the young generation and their parents to make the most appropriate higher education choices with UPES. He also said that at UPES, they were focusing only on specialized degree courses as specialization was our very next future and only domain focused courses helped in making students industry ready, relevant for future opportunities and beyond.
We had an interactive session with popular Radio Mirchi RJ, Singer and Television anchor Mir who enlightened us about his own untold journey of failure, struggle and success. He also told us how a focused and balanced decision could help us to #stayrelevant for the future. He himself and his band fascinated us with an outstanding musical performance.
Later on, Dr. Palash Sen, the lead singer of the famous Indi Pop band, Euphoria joined the discussion. He also shared his own journey of being a successful Rockstar after becoming a successful doctor. He also said that when he started 20 years ago, there were only two options- one was engineering and another was medicine. But in today’s time, students were getting so many opportunity and choices through universities like UPES. Addressing to the young audience he conveyed an important note- “You can’t succeed in your career until you choose to specialize and update yourself to stay relevant. That’s what even I did, both with my profession as a doctor and my passion as a musician. I encourage each one of you to discover and unleash your true potential. Nothing will give you more happiness than that”.
I found “unleash” as a very insightful and interactive session which provided fruitful details about hundreds of industry oriented and specialized graduate and post graduate courses of UPES to aspiring students and their parents. Not only that, but it also helped them with a much-needed platform where they can interact with UPES professors, admission counselors, industry partners which assisted them to take the right decision about their higher education. There was a booth where students and parents could experience the beautiful campus and classrooms of UPES Dehradun through virtual reality devices.
