As you all know that I’m a crazy lipstick lover. I can literally eat lipsticks. And talking about lipsticks makes me feel alive and amps up my mood.
Hope you guys can understand that I’m going to review a lipstick today.
Last year, there was a period when every famous brand was launching “Minis” i.e. they were relaunching their old products in smaller packaging with lesser price. These minis are cute, travel-friendly and easily accessible to everyone (for its comparatively lower price).
I bought quite a few minis from different brands as they really look adorable. Also, I can put them into my clutch or purse and still there is a lot of space left for other things.
The first mini I got is Nykaa so matte lipstick in shade Cranberry Sangria. I have heard a lot of raving reviews from my colleagues and saw many beauty bloggers going gaga over this shade especially. So, I needed to get the shade.
So, Today’s post is on Nykaa So Matte lipstick in shade Cranberry Sangria. Let’s dive into the nitty-gritty details.
INR: 199/- for
Available at their official website.
First of all, the packaging is oh so adorable. Everything is so tiny and cute that one can fall for it. Packaging is similar to the original so matte lipstick. It comes in a black plastic cased which has the brand name written on with silvery metallic color. The case further comes inside Nykaa’s typical pink cardboard box. The outer box carries all the relevant details regarding the product. But these minis don’t have that magnetic closure caps like the regular so matte lipsticks have. Although, the tiny cap shuts on tightly. Overall, the packaging is cute, study and travel-friendly like I said before.
Cranberry Sangria is a vivid red with strong berry hues. It looks flattering on most of the Indian skin tone. I think anyone can pull this shade easily. The shade is perfect for those who find difficulties in carrying bold colors.
Rich in color, intensely pigmented, goes full opaque in only one swipe. It can cover up my pigmented lips totally right from the first swipe and the coverage is quite build-able as well.
Though it is called matte lipstick, it is not at all flat matte; it has a very nice and creamy texture which glides evenly without tugging and pulling. After some time it sits down into matte finish but not powdery matte, it has the smoothness intact throughout. So it doesn’t settle into lip lines or accentuate dry patches.
The formula feels very comfortable and soft like butter, so it keeps the lips moisturized for long. The formula is so creamy and buttery that no one needs to apply lip balm before putting it on.
As the lipstick is on the creamier side so it does transfer or move but stays on me for good 5+ hours with little snacks and drink in between. The color doesn’t survive oily food. After completely fading away, the pigment left a beautiful stain on the lips.
My Rating: 4/5.
Final Verdict: If you are someone who wants to look effortlessly gorgeous, get all dolled up with minimal makeup then I would suggest this shade.
When in hurry, I apply a light foundation or BB cream, draw a winged liner, coat my lashes with mascara and pull this lip shade on. I know that I look completely dressed up. Highly, Highly recommend this shade.
